Solidarity with CUPE and the Ontario School Boards Council Unions (OSBCU)

November 7, 2022

Dear Members,

The University of the Fraser Valley Faculty and Staff Association (UFV-FSA), representing 1600 employees,

strongly support the right to collectively bargain. Attacks on these fundamental rights, which are guaranteed by the Supreme Court of Canada and Chart of Rights and Freedoms,

cannot and will not be tolerated.  The UFV-FSA stands in solidarity with CUPE and the Ontario School Boards Council Unions (OSBCU) as they unite together to

collectively bargain for improved standards in the workplace. This fight is a fight to ensure all workers in Canada have healthy and safe work conditions and wages that support families and communities.
